STRIP LOCK / self lock (MSL)

Modern Concealed-Fix Roofing System for Superior Protection and Aesthetics.

Strip Lock, also known as Self-Lock (SL) Roofing Sheets, is a modern roofing profile engineered to provide exceptional weather resistance, clean architectural lines, and long-term durability. Unlike conventional roofing sheets that rely on exposed fasteners, the strip-lock system uses a concealed fixing mechanism, significantly reducing the risk of water leakage and corrosion.
This roofing system is ideal for projects that demand both premium appearance and high performance, making it suitable for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.

Available Thickness Options.

Strip Lock / SL Roofing Sheets are commonly produced in:

  • 0.40 mm – Suitable for residential roofing

  • 0.45 mm – Balanced strength for mixed-use buildings

  • 0.50 mm – Recommended for premium residential and commercial projects

Thicker sheets provide improved rigidity, wind resistance, and overall roof stability.

Why Strip Lock / Self-Lock Roofing Sheets Are Important.

1. Concealed Fixing System

The self-locking mechanism hides fasteners beneath overlapping seams, eliminating common leakage points and improving long-term roof integrity.

2. Superior Weather Resistance

The interlocking design resists wind uplift and prevents rainwater penetration, even during heavy storms.

3. Enhanced Corrosion Protection

The aluminium–zinc alloy coating protects the roofing sheets from rust, significantly extending service life compared to conventional galvanized roofing.

4. Premium Architectural Appearance

Strip lock roofing delivers a smooth, uniform, and modern finish, enhancing the visual appeal of contemporary buildings.

5. Reduced Maintenance Requirements

With fewer exposed fasteners and durable alloy coating, maintenance costs are minimized over the lifespan of the roof.

6. Wide Market Application

Suitable for:

  • Residential homes and estates

  • Commercial buildings

  • Schools and hospitals

  • Institutional and office complexes

Material Composition (Industry-Standard Aluminium–Zinc Alloy).

Strip Lock / SL Roofing Sheets are manufactured using industry-standard aluminium–zinc alloy (Al-Zn) coated metal, designed to deliver long service life under diverse environmental conditions.

The accepted aluminium–zinc alloy composition is:

  • Aluminium – 55%
Provides excellent corrosion resistance and high solar reflectivity, helping to protect the roof from oxidation while reducing heat absorption.

  • Zinc – 43.4%
Acts as a sacrificial layer that protects exposed edges and fastening areas from corrosion over time.

  • Silicon – 1.6%
Improves bonding between the aluminium–zinc coating and the metal substrate, ensuring coating stability and durability.

When combined with standard coating weights such as AZ150, this composition ensures reliable performance in humid, coastal, and high-rainfall environments.

Installation and Performance Advantages.

  • Precision interlocking system ensures consistent alignment

  • Reduced risk of fastener failure

  • Compatible with standard roofing accessories

  • Designed for clean edges and smooth roof surfaces

Long-Term Value to Customers.

Investing in Strip Lock / Self-Lock Roofing Sheets offers:

  • Long-term durability

  • Superior leak resistance

  • Improved thermal performance

  • Increased property value

  • Peace of mind for homeowners and developers
